Base plate: A solid start
A base plate spreads the load from the standard or prop over a wider area and transfers it to the ground. It reduces the risk of slipping and settling, especially on soft or uneven ground.
U-head: Holds the beam securely
Fitted to the top of the prop, the U-head keeps timber or metal beams seated without shifting and transfers the load evenly along the axis of the prop.
Four-way head: Multi-directional support
Where beams meet from different directions, a four-way head allows members to sit securely and speeds up formwork assembly.
Regular inspection is essential
Before each use, accessories should be checked for deformation, cracks and corrosion, and damaged parts should be removed from the system without delay.
